This lightweight bandana is a part of a collection that uses kissho monyō as design motifs. Kissho (auspicious, fortuitous) monyō (motif) are used in Asia as decorative designs to bring good fortune or forestall bad luck.

The ocean blue linen and cotton blend bandana is framed with an octopus karakusa pattern, a variation of the karakusa (arabesque with growing vines) motif. It is known as octopus karakusa because the vines resemble octopus tentacles, and the pattern suggests prosperity and longevity.

It is infinitely versatile; wear it around the neck, cover the head, wrap your lunchbox or use it however you'd like.
