This individual size donabe bowl is perfect for cooking and serving ramen, jjigae or other quick soup. It retains heat so the food stays warm longer. The hot donabe bowl can be placed on a kiri trivet for serving.
Before using the donabe bowl for the first time, we recommend you do medome. Medome is similar to seasoning a cast iron pan but use starch water instead of oil. This website has a good instruction of how to do it.
The donabe bowl can also be used as a bakeware in oven so it is a very versatile cookware.
