These elegantly shaped mosquito coil holders are made by Chika Shibazaki, a blacksmith who creates wrought iron objects in her small studio outside Tokyo. Each holder has a flat tip that fits perfectly in the center slit of the mosquito coil.
The base is hammered to create a textured surface. These mosquito coil holders are an excellent example of how superb craftsmanship creates beauty in everyday objects.
