This small round teapot (maru means round in Japanese) is perfect for brewing your favorite tea. The pot comes with a removable metal strainer, making tea preparation a breeze. The glaze has an interesting mix of glossy and matte finishes, giving the surface a slightly rough texture.

These pots are made in the town of Oroshi in the Mino region. Pottery makers in Oroshi specialize in wares like teapots that are hard to mass-produce because of the many parts that need to be assembled with precision.
