Furoshiki - Tsubaki
Furoshiki are Japanese all-purpose square wrapping cloth. They come in a variety of sizes and there are many ways to wrap and tie them. These beautiful tsubaki (camellia ) patterned furoshiki are made of sturdy cotton shantung and sized in futahaba, the most common size. Shantung fabric has a textured surface due to a use of slub yarn in weft, giving the furoshiki a homey feeling.
What is great about the furoshiki is that they are so simple yet so versatile. What else can wrap two bottles of wine in a quick, secure and beautiful way with an easy to carry handle, and unwrap to a piece of cloth that fits into a pocket? Add furoshiki to your collection of eco bags and explore their endlessly possible uses.
