This lightweight bandana is a part of a collection that features colors that have been cherished in Japan for centuries. Many of these colors derive their names from nature.

Akebono represents the warm colors of dawn. It has always been appreciated in Japanese culture and The Pillow Book, a famous 11th century collection of essays, begins with a sentence "Haru wa akebono." The phrase translates to "dawn in spring is the most beautiful time of the day".

It is infinitely versatile; wear it around the neck, cover the head, wrap your lunchbox or use it however you'd like.
